Zomunk: New Way to Catch Unreal Flight Deals

Zomunk doesn’t search for flights. It surfaces rare, ridiculously good ones. Here’s how I designed a product that makes that instantly clear — and fun to use.

Zomunk isn’t a flight search tool. It’s a curated feed of the world’s best flight deals — the kind that make you double-check the price because it feels too good to be true. But because this model is so different from what people expect, the biggest UX challenge was clarity: how do we make it obvious that you’re not here to search, but to discover?

I designed and tested Zomunk as a solo designer, running research calls, watching user behavior, and iterating constantly. One key move was shifting away from a big, literal search bar (which misled users) and leaning into a feed-first design. Each deal needed to clearly show why it was amazing — not just the price, but the airline quality, nonstop routing, and points value where relevant. The result: an interface that lets users instantly “get” the magic of Zomunk, and act fast before the deal disappears.
